From Fermenting To Finance

And family! Life hacks I wish I knew sooner that might just help you.

Perhaps you ran across this article from my post discussing the trails at Glenwood for running, or maybe you’re just looking for an engaging and magical space to take the kids to explore and play. Either way, Glenwood Gardens is a great destination for the whole family!

Location

Just north of Wyoming city and Hamilton County in the Woodlawn Village, a suburb of Cincinnati.

10397 Springfield Pike, Woodlawn, OH 45215

There’s one main parking lot adjacent to the visitor center. The gardens all start from the visitor’s center.

Children’s Garden Cost

In the winter, the cost is cheaper. It’s $3 per person versus $6 in the summertime.

There is also a $60 family pass if you decide to become a repeat customer. After one visit, I decided an annual pass was worth the cost just to bring the grandparents (or have them take the kiddo since you can add two last names to the family pass)!

Entrance

The children’s gardens are accessed through the visitor’s center building only, despite the deceiving two outside gates. This is a nice safety precaution and also prevents folks from bringing in their dogs. The visitor center doors open at 9 am.

Park Details

Outside of the children’s garden, the park is available all hours.

You need either a pass to get in (pay $10 for an annual Great Parks pass that’s good for a plethora of Cincy parks) or pay $3 per car to enter Glenwood Gardens. This cost is in addition to the children’s garden entrance fee.

Dogs are allowed on the general trails but just not in the children’s garden, so plan accordingly.

Check out the gardens to see more, such as the Wizard’s Garden! I’m personally looking forward to coming in the summer when things are in bloom. I still enjoyed coming in the winter when prices are cheaper and it’s less busy. And when I decided to spring for the annual pass, they let me apply the cost of admission for the day towards the $60 pass!

So go check it out with nothing to loose!
