The trail runs along the Little Miami River where you can admire a plethora of wildlife.
And it’s no wonder why the outer perimeter trail is named the Birder’s Loop… During a visit in December our running group observed the following within an hour span:
- juvenile bald eagles
- belted kingfisher
- a “Woody the Woodpecker” pileated woodpecker
- red-shouldered hawk making a splash while swooping at a group of mallards on the water
- one red-bellied woodpecker
- one brown creeper
- and bunches of Cardinals and chickadees.
